Our Goals

Our New Life Fellowship Worship Center has five Church Goals:

  1. Love The LORD With All Thy Heart
  2. Love Your Neighbor As Yourself
  3. Go And Make Disciples
  4. Baptize Them
  5. Teach Them To Obey

LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL THY HEART

The word that best describes this goal is worship.  Matthew 4:10, “Worship the Lord
your God, and serve him only.”  Notice that worship comes before service.  Worshipping God is the Church’s first purpose.  This is why we do praise and worship in our first service.  Psalms 34:3, “Magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together.”

LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF

The word that best describes this goal is ministry.  The Church exists to minister to
the people.  Through ministry we demonstrate God’s love to others — by meeting their spiritual needs and healing their spiritual wounds in the name of Jesus.  When we reach out with love to others…we are ministering.

GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES

The word that best describes this goal is evangelism.  We are ambassadors for the
Church and our mission is to evangelize the world.  It is the responsibility of every Christian to share the good news wherever we go.  We are to tell the world of Christ’s coming; His death on the cross; His resurrection; and, his promise to return.  Some day, each of us will give an account to God on how seriously we took this responsibility.
Acts 1:8, “Jesus commissioned us to go and tell the world the message of salvation.”

BAPTIZE THEM

Baptism is one of the great commissions.  Baptism means to immerse into water.  A Christian’s baptism symbolizes Christ’s death and burial.  This is why we are to be immersed under water (as Christ was buried in the grave) and His resurrection is symbolized by coming out of the water.  This signifies to the whole world that we are identified with the body of Christ.

TEACH THEM TO OBEY

As Christians we are called to belong…not to just believe.  We are not meant to live as Lone Rangers – instead we are to belong to Christ’s family and be members of this body.  Baptism is not a symbol of salvation, it is a symbol of fellowship.  Ephesians 2:19 (Living Bible), “You are members of God’s very own family.”  You belong to God’s household with every other Christian.  The Church exists to provide fellowship for believers
